Reimbursement Rates

Provider Tier Benefits

All providers enrolled with AFC are eligible to receive reimbursement for serving meals and snacks that meet the USDA meal requirements. There are two levels of reimbursement. Tier 1 and Tier 2. CACFP pays a higher level (Tier 1) of reimbursement to low income areas, and to day care providers and children most in need. At a minimum, a provider will receive Tier 2 rates.

Providers may record all eligible meals served to children for tax purposes, however providers will only be reimbursed for a maximum of two meals and one snack or two snacks and one meal served per child per day at the following rates:

  • Rates per meal served in Day Care Homes:

    Effective July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022

As a family child care provider, if your family meets certain household size and income criteria, you may be able to claim your own children when they are being fed with the day care children.
